Kevin Hannon, of The Hannon Law Firm,
LLC, in Denver, Colorado, serves as Of Counsel to Gray,
Ritter & Graham, P.C. He is licensed to practice in Colorado,
the District of Columbia, Missouri and Wisconsin. His
practice areas include environmental and toxic torts.
Mr. Hannon has successfully tried
and settled cases involving above and underground storage
tanks, smelter, manufacturing and agricultural operations,
causing air, soil, water and noise pollution from heavy
metals, pesticides, petroleum products, biological waste
and other substances. Mr. Hannon serves as lead counsel
in several environmental class actions across the country.
In 1993, Mr. Hannon received the "Trial
Lawyer of the Year" Award from the Trial Lawyers for Public
Justice Foundation in Washington, D.C., for his work in
Escamilla v. Asarco. In 1996, he was awarded the Colorado
Trial Lawyers Association "Outstanding Young Trial Lawyer"
Award.
Mr. Hannon is a frequent author and
lecturer on litigation, including on environmental law
and toxic torts.
Mr. Hannon received his law degree
from Georgetown University in 1986. He earned a master's
degree in Environmental Management in 1980.
During law school, Mr. Hannon served
as Science Advisor for Trial Lawyers for Public Justice,
a national public interest law firm. He provided technical
and legal review for products liability, medical malpractice,
and hazardous waste, pesticide, and other chemical exposure
cases and Clean Water Act citizen acts. Among others,
he worked on Anderson v. Cryovac, the case that forms
the basis for the movie A Civil Action. Before beginning
his law career, Mr. Hannon worked for the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency in both air quality and toxic substances
programs.
